Anthony J. Gertz II is a proud graduate of Moeller High School, where he enjoyed playing football for the Crusaders. Thereafter, he attended Miami University (Oxford), where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in history. He joined Gertz Law Firm in 1997 as a law clerk and worked primarily in the area of estate and probate administration while completing his legal studies at the Salmon P. He is also admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio.
From 2004 to 2005, in addition to his practice at the Gertz Law Firm, Mr. Gertz served as in-house counsel to the Shelly Holding Company, the largest asphalt paving company in Ohio. As in-house counsel for Shelly, he practiced extensively in the areas of civil litigation, construction law, and corporate transactions. When his corporate position
at Shelly necessitated that Mr. Gertz relocate his family out of town, he decided instead to return fulltime to practice with his father and sister at Gertz Law Firm.
